What Will Vampire Film Festival Be Like?
Vampire Film Festival will be unlike other film festivals that focus on the macabre cinema because our focus will be more than simply showing slasher films. While our hope is to give filmmakers and writers in the Vampire/ Gothic/Werewolf genres a venue to have their work showcased to people in the industry, we also want to be players in rebuilding one of the greatest cities in the world.
Where Will Vampire Film Festival Take Place?
Vampire Film Festival is coming home to the magical city of New Orleans, the birthplace of Anne Rice’s acclaimed Vampire Chronicles. As a city noted for Gothic architecture, above the ground graves, vampire balls and voodoo, New Orleans is a vampire aficionados dream. As Vampire Film Festival grows, this unique event will play a key role in the city’s efforts to rebuild.
The city has a number of hotels, restaurants, studio sound stages,
historic theaters, private estates and sophisticated nightspots that
will make excellent venues for various events. As we get closer to
the actual festival, locations will be announced. In addition to
screenings and cocktail parties, Vampire Film Festival will host panels on vampire films, vampire lore and the history of New Orleans. It is our sincere desire to expand Vampire Film Festival in the future into a global celebration that includes poetry slams, art exhibits and a vampire book fair.
