The Vampire Diaries, a new, teen-oriented drama based on the popular series of young-adult horror novels by American author L.J. Smith will be premiering this fall on the CW Network. The vamp drama about a high-school girl torn between two vampire brothers was picked up for the fall schedule, supplanting Smallville on Thursday nights to join the made-in-B.C. Supernatural. Smallville, which premiered in 2001, has been evicted from its old timeslot and now will be shown on Friday nights.
