Vampire Fangs coming to the small screen...

The popular Young Adult vampire series, Vampire Diaries, might soon show its fangs on the small screen. Following the lead of the very adult HBO hit, True Blood, Warner Brothers television has joined with Alloy Entertainment to produce the pilot for the CW Network. In the event you don’t know, Vampire Diaries was published before the mega-popular Twilight series and joins the avalanche of vamp fiction headed to the small and big screen. 

The story concerns two vamp brothers who decide to set up house in a small town…why is it always a small town?  Anyway, one is good, the other a baddie and they compete for the heart of the town and the affections of the lovely Elena.  Nina Dobrey, the nineteen-year-old star of the Sci-Fi Channel’s Never Cry Werewolf, plays Elena and actor Steven R. McQueen, grandson of Hollywood icon, Steve McQueen, plays Elena’s brother. If Vampire Diaries makes it to the fall line-up it will be the second vampire-themed show on the CW.  Of course to some of us, the more the merrier!
