Our favorite child-star turned naughty-girl now respectable actor/producer, Miss Drew Barrymore had her heart set on directing the third film in the Twilight book series, Eclipse; unfortunately, her plans might be derailed by the powers-that-be at Summit Entertainment. It appears that Spanish director Juan Antonio Bayona who directed the Gothic thriller, The Orphanage, is the favorite in that race. The body count of directors seems to be adding up; first Catherine Hardwicke for Twilight than Chris Weitz for New Moon…by the time they get to the fourth, Breaking Dawn, they may just have to resurrect Todd Browning.

things may be looking up. It seems that Branaugh has been meeting with Alexander Skarsgard, Eric the vampire in True Blood, with thoughts of casting him in the title role. I guess there really is a merciful God.
